My comment to Senator Ted Cruz

I’m sure that countless people have pointed out the irony of your use of Dr. Seuss’ ‘Green Eggs and Ham’ story. I’ll go out on a limb and suggest that perhaps you never finished the book because if you had, you might have chosen a different reference for refusing Obamacare.

In a nutshell, the cat claims he doesn’t like green eggs and ham, but has never actually tried them. At the end of the story, he tries them and ends up, to his pleasant surprise, liking them. In fact he likes them quite a lot.

On another note, if you think of using children’s’ stories to make a point in the future, ‘The Boy Who Cried Wolf’ is about a lesson in honesty and what a pattern of dishonesty can cost a person when people don’t believe you anymore. Of course, this problem can be avoided by simply reading the entire book and having one of your handlers explain the moral of the story to you.
